A villa in the Algarve is built for light, outdoor living and long stays. Its furniture should be too. Bespoke furniture in the Algarve lets you use every wall and alcove, choose materials suited to the coast and keep one style throughout the house. This guide covers what can be made, how a project works and what to plan if you are not living there full time.

What can be made to measure
- Kitchens: cabinets, fronts and storage designed around your layout and appliances.
- Walk-in and fitted wardrobes: floor-to-ceiling storage for bedrooms and guest rooms.
- Bookshelves and display units: built-in shelving that structures a living room.
- Doors and panelling: in a style that suits a traditional or contemporary home.
- Loose and covered-terrace furniture: tables, sofas and beds in the size and fabric you choose.
Crossline makes all of these for private clients, with no minimum project size.
Bespoke furniture for the Algarve coast
Sea air, humidity and strong sun are hard on furniture. Ask your maker which woods, boards, lacquers and fabrics they recommend for each room, especially for bathrooms, kitchens and rooms that open onto a terrace. For damp areas, we use moisture-resistant MDF and marine plywood.
Furnishing a holiday home or rental property
If the house will be rented, think about durability, easy cleaning and storage that guests can use without instructions. Built-in pieces also stay put: they are harder to damage or move than loose furniture.
How a project works
- Brief: photos, plans or measurements, plus how you use the house.
- Site measurement: every wall, opening and level is measured.
- Drawings and samples: you approve drawings, materials and finishes, on site or remotely.
- Manufacturing: the pieces are made in the workshop.
- Delivery and installation: the team installs and adjusts on site.
One maker, one style throughout
When the kitchen, wardrobes, doors and furniture come from one workshop, the whole house reads as one project. At Crossline, we make all of them for the same house.
Bespoke furniture in the Algarve by Crossline
Crossline designs, manufactures and installs bespoke interiors and furniture in Portugal and abroad, with joinery, upholstery and metalwork made in our own factory. In the Algarve, we made a colour-lacquered bookcase for a private home; elsewhere in Portugal, we made the furniture for a villa at the West Lake Eco Resort in Óbidos.
