The beauty of clay, designed for each place
Some pieces can change the atmosphere of a space on their own. Vases are one of them. At Crossline Furniture, we develop made-to-measure vases and ceramic pieces for residential, hospitality and commercial projects, designed to converse with the architecture and the furniture around them.
From the earthy tone to the texture of the surface, each vase is conceived for its place: at the entrance of a home, on a terrace with a view, in a hotel lobby or in the corner of a room that calls for a natural touch.
Made-to-measure ceramics: what we do
- Made-to-measure vases: with shapes, sizes and proportions defined for each project.
- Natural and aged finishes: that bring out the texture of the clay and the passage of time.
- Pieces for indoors and outdoors: prepared for the setting and use they are intended for.
- Decorative compositions: together with plants, dried flowers or furniture, for a coherent result.
Terracotta: a material with history
Terracotta is one of the oldest materials in interior decoration. Its warm tone, porous texture and the small irregularities of its surface make every piece unique and bring the presence of the earth and of handcraft into the interior.
Over time, the clay develops a patina and character. It is a material that seeks authenticity rather than perfection, and it pairs naturally with wood, linen, stone and natural fibres.
How to integrate large vases into a project
- Scale: a large vase works like a piece of furniture and deserves a place of its own, against a wall, beside a column or at the entrance.
- Composition: dried flowers, such as pampas grass, or natural branches add height and lightness.
- Contrast: against light floors or neutral walls, terracotta takes centre stage.
- Continuity: repeating the same material in several areas creates coherence between rooms.
One piece, many stories
A made-to-measure vase is more than an accessory. It is a piece that completes the composition of a space and ages with it, gaining character. As in the wabi-sabi style, we value what is natural, tactile and imperfect: what makes each piece truly unique.
Ceramics is one of the areas Crossline Furniture works in, alongside carpentry, upholstery and metalwork, which allows us to deliver complete projects, from the furniture to the final decorative detail. Discover more projects in our portfolio.
